We have went to multiple location and this one was on our way back home traveling. The food was as expected, great. However the portions is not the same as we would get in queens NY. It is a little smaller. Staff were friendly. The place looks clean but the need better seating. Chairs and tables are old and not enough if you had 2sets of 6 ppl wanting to eat in at the same time. There is a lot of space in there to have some nice tables. We did eat in as we was traveling. The bathroom was ok.

I came late at night, and the food was fresh, hot, and absolutely delicious😋 .The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I ordered the chicken over rice, falafel platter, pakora fries, sauce wings, and five chicken shawarmas. Everything was cooked perfectly—hot, crispy, and full of flavor. I go there regularly, and they never disappoint. This is my one and only favorite halal spot in Albany. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for amazing halal food and great service!

The perfect quick late night snack after a concert at Lark Hall! I got the lamb over rice with extra lamb and fries - they give you plenty of food and the fries were HUGE. Everything was well-seasoned, fresh, and hot.

Let me tell you about the experience I just had. I placed an online order for five gyros and some drinks. Of course, the one I happened to eat — the combo gyro — had a long strand of hair in it. I took a picture and even recorded pulling the hair from the gyro because it was so noticeable and the sandwich was already falling apart. I tried calling the number more than 20 times. Each time it rang once and went straight to a voicemail that was full, so I couldn’t even leave a message. I then drove to the store, and both doors were locked even though it showed they were open. There was no sign on the door. I waited outside for over 45 minutes to an hour before the doors finally opened. When I spoke to the employee, he had an attitude. I asked for a manager and was told there wasn’t one. Another person who appeared to be a supervisor stepped in, put gloves on, pulled the strand from the gyro, and suggested it didn’t seem like hair — implying it could be plastic or wax. I have a head full of natural hair, and it clearly looked like hair. That response alone was frustrating. I was then told they could not issue a refund because it was an online order. Absolutely amazing experience. I ordered from Shah's Halal in Albany through DoorDash and even though the order arrived late, the experience ended up being incredible. I called the restaurant and the guy I spoke to was genuinely kind and respectful. I asked for some extra white sauce and they didn't just add a little - they hooked it up generously. The food itself was unreal. Easily some of the best halal food I've had. The flavors were on point, portions were great but I thought portions of chicken could have been a bit more. The food was flavorful The chicken was slightly chewy, which I think was due to the delivery taking longer than expected rather than the cooking itself. Also they even threw in extra pita bread for no reason, which honestly made my night. You can tell they care about customers. Great food, great people, and real hospitality. I'll definitely be ordering again. Highly recommend.
